1948 CONSUMER (ORIGINAL GOOD)
Good Lionel 1948 consumer, full color, 36 page catalog. Discoloration and wrinkling of lower right hand interior pages due to dampness. Pages 17-20 loose from staple. Staples with rust. Contents include pictures of the the 2026 Steam with 3 metal passenger cars, 2026 passenger with three green plastic passenger cars, 2020 671 steam loco freight set, and the 726 steam loco and Irvington passenger cars.
The Pennsylvania 2332, and New York Central along with the Santa Fe were the diesels offered. The Lionel Electronic Set was probably the most unique set offered for the year and is sought by train collectors. An assortment of track, transformers, general rolling stock, and operating and non operating accessories shown. The Lionel Construction Kits were also shown at the end of the catalog.
