Catalogs show the new items coming out for 1978, including the Trains & Trucking Cargo King, A-B Santa Fe Freight, and Milwaukee Limited Freight set. The passenger line for the year offers the Blue Comet and Southern Crescent and historic General Sets. The most being sought by collectors is the Mickey Mouse Express, shown this year with the 10 cars. Commuter Budd Cars, were offered as well as the Conrail, New Haven, and Great Northern Electric locos. A large assortment of rolling stock with billboard reefers, soda pop box cars, and the tobacco railroad box cars were also shown.
